Jimmy M. Calhoun II

- Attorney
Overview
I have practiced law in Ohio since 2013. I began my career working for the Public Defender's Office in Montgomery County, Ohio. As an assistant Public Defender, I had the privilege of protecting criminal defendants' rights in nearly all types of criminal charges.
After leaving the Public Defender's Office, I entered private practice and worked with notable law firms in Dayton, Ohio; including working with my mentor and late attorney Patrick Flanagan. I have continued my practice as a trial attorney focused on representing clients facing criminal law, family law, and litigation matters.
Feeling a calling to return to my roots so that I may provide an impact in my hometown of Middletown, Ohio I transitioned my practice to Hurley Law. In addition to serving private clients, I am also a part-time Public Defender in the Middletown Municipal Court through the Butler County Public Defender's Office.
In 2016, I ran for the State House of Representatives, in the 41st District. In 2018, I had the privilege of being the campaign manager for the Honorable Gerald Parker, who was elected and became the first African American male Common Pleas Judge (General Division) in Montgomery County, Ohio history.
